Energy Gap Evaluation in Microcrystalline m-HfO2 Powder

چکیده

In this paper optical properties of microcrystalline HfO2 powder are investigated. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy were used to determine that the studied samples in monoclinic phase. Based on analysis diffuse reflectance spectra applying Kubelka-Munk formalism we evaluated indirect bandgap value Eg = 5.34 ± 0.05 eV. The calculated is agreement with independent data for thin films synthesized by various methods. based materials report presented at first Russian scientific confererence participation international community "YENISEI PHOTONICS – 2020"

Pairing of cation vacancies and gap-state creation in TiO2 and HfO2

Based on the first-principles calculations, the authors study defect-defect interactions between cation vacancies in rutile TiO2 and monoclinic HfO2.
